Antique Leaf Rings featuring Swarovski Flat Back Crystals

January 30, 2015

I have been eyeing these fun ring blanks for a while now. They come in several different styles and three finishes, antique copper, antique brass and antique silver. When we started carrying the Swarovski glue-on flatback crystals recently, a light went off in my head! They would be a great duo! And the combinations are endless! (Links updated January 31, 2017!)

To make these rings, all you need are:
Ring blanks with glue pad – click on a plating to see all the cool styles (I used the #51-000 series)
Your choice of Swarovski flat back crystals
A good adhesive – I used E-6000, but a 2-part epoxy is technically better.

Here are the exact ring blanks I used. #51-000-35-5, #51-000-30-6, and #51-000-33-7.

Simply add glue according to the package directions. I used E-6000 because that’s what I had on hand, but 2-part epoxy is especially recommended for use with Swarovski crystals.

Press the crystal in place.

Add your choice of crystal to each ring band.

I love the look of the golden shadow crystal on this ring.

To help them dry correctly, use a utensil (here I used a citrus juicer) to hold them in place while the glue sets. Let them dry overnight to ensure they are set.

Completed Sparkly Rings! Love these!
