designer entries added at the bottom--scroll down!
Grand Prize winner to be picked this week]
Take our design challenge!
(PS: while you’re all waiting for the entries to be posted at the bottom of this post,
enjoy our last design challenge featuring glass bezels!)
The theme is brushed copper beads, look at ‘em:
We think you’ll love these: They’re gorgeously shiny… fun to touch…
and we like how people’s faces light up when they see ‘em at our bead shows!
Here’s how to enter:
- Leave a comment below.
- Get an extra entry in the drawing: Link from your blog to this post. Share this post in Facebook or Twitter.
Then, wait for an email from me: One week from today, on Thursday, March 24th, I’ll do a drawing & pick 15 lucky participants. I’ll send those 15 people a packet of these satin-finish copper beads.
They’ll have 1 month to provide photos of the jewelry they make with these beads. Out of all those entries, Rings & Things will pick a Design Challenge winner to receive a surprise pack of our jewelry supplies! So enter now, tell your online friends, and get thinking–what will you do with a bunch of brushed copper beads? Doming? Sawing in half? Image-transfer solution? Patina’ing? Hole punching? –Dave at Rings & Things–

I just posted this on facebook!
It would be an awesome blessing to have an opportunity to create something incredible with your lovely beads. Will be happy to link you to my blog and FB page.
Wow, such lovely beads, and I have been wanting to try working with copper. That would be some wonderful stuff to play with!
I have posted the design challenge on my blog!
I’m in love with the soft warm glow of copper. It gives jewelry such a different look and feel than the cold tones of silver or the yellow glint of gold…sort of reminds me of rose gold in a way.
Hey, guys,
I posted this again on my facebook page! (http://facebook.com/creativejewelrydesignsbylaurastaley
I forgot that my page also tweets, as you can see on my blog. SO that makes two tweets, two fan page posts, one blog post, and my personal profile post. that’s six! Woohoo! http://laurastaley.blogspot.com
One of those 6 was your lucky lottery ticket, Laura
Your name got picked, so you’re going to receive a pack of brushed copper beads! Some time today you’ll have a note from me asking for your mailing address, and then I’ll get the beads sent right out to you! – - – Dave – - -

I love working with copper when doing chain maille and any other jewelry patterns. I think copper adds such a glow and depth of color to any gemstones and would love the chance to create some jewelry with these beautiful satin beads.
