  • How to Set Crystal Rivets 1. Gather supplies: rivets, metal blank, leather, rivet setter, rubber mat and 5/32" hole punch (plus a 1/8" hole punch if the leather also needs to be punched). 2. Position the leather and metal components, and mark hole placement on each. 3. Center the mark in the hole on the bottom side of the punch. 4. Create a hole in each blank. 5. Push the rivet through the hole in the leather flower, then through the metal blank. 6. Put the cap on the back. 7. Place on the rubber mat, crystal side down. 8. Position the concave end of the rivet setting over the cap and strike with a hammer firmly until rivet is set. 9. A crystal riveted necklace pendant!
