- All our sterling silver chain is nickel-free, cadmium-free and meets the EU nickel directive. Styles include ball chain, cable chain, long-and-short links, rope chain, and heart motifs.
- Our 12kt gold-filled chain (sometimes called gold overlay) is made by using heat and pressure to apply a thick layer of karat gold to the surface of a less costly metal (usually brass). The minimum layer of karat gold must equal at least 1/20 of the total weight of the item. Gold fill is 50 to 100,000 times thicker than normal gold plating. See illustration for more info.
- Raw (bare) copper has no plating to wear off, and can be soldered with either silver solder or copper solder.
