- Use Alundum Stone to grind sharp edges and rough spots of enamel. Always use under water to protect yourself from glass dust, glass filings and to prolong the life of the alundum stone. Alundum stones are designed specifically for use with glass, and contain no residue that would be harmful during refiring, unlike carborundum. For best results, use 150-grit first, then follow with 240-grit.
