Brokerage Fees on UPS shipments to Canada ...
UPS Standard rates look less expensive than USPS rates at a glance. But, UPS adds brokerage fees at the time of delivery that are not included in shipping estimates. If you're having a package shipped from the U.S. to Canada, be sure to check current UPS entry prep fees first.
The UPS website only lists "entry prep" fees. It does not list bond fees and COD fees, also charged for UPS Standard shipments to Canada. This is why the "discount" (right-hand) column below might look more expensive than what's listed on UPS's site.
For business shipments, refer to middle column below. For personal shipments, refer to right-hand column.
Packages with no business name are considered personal shipments in Canada.
