These metal beads are made in India, and many are hand-turned (sometimes called "machined"). The majority are brass-based, and fairly solid: a bit heavier than most metal beads of similar sizes. We buy these metal beads in small batches when we find them; they are not always available. They are nearly always satin-finished (a brushed or matte finish). Also, they have relatively large hole sizes, so fit larger cord than you might expect from looking at the bead. We're working on adding hole sizes to the "filters" on this page, so you can find just the beads that fit the cord you want, without having to click into each item's details.
With their weight, funky geometric shapes, and the fact that they aren't as shiny as most other beads, they are excellent spacers for men's jewelry.
