Sterling Silver Bolo Tip, 57mm, 12mm Cone #36-506

SKU 36-506
57mm sterling silver bolo tie tips with 12mm cone. Works great with our leather bolo cord. We recommend a 2-part epoxy or leather glue, and then carefully crimp (fold) the "zig-zags" at the top of the tips, into the cord.

Which Glue is Best?

For the most durable bond, we almost always recommend epoxies rather than other types of glue, but it depends on a few factors... Check out the options, plus tips for successful glue bonds, on our Adhesives and Jewelry Glues page.

This is the second time I have ordered this product from your company and will continue in the future when I need more. No need to shop around when your web site is easy and your prices reasonable. Thanks.

Very satisfactory

A high quality product. I used them with 5mm 6-strand braided leather cord, and the fit nicely. They also work with smaller cord, but seemed a little bit large for my taste on 4mm 4-strand braid. I used cyanoacrylate ("super glue") on about 7mm of the ends of the braided cord, to prevent un-braiding, before I trim the ends. Sometimes I use the same glue to affix the silver tip to the cords, but with 5mm braid, I've found it is enough to just crimp the points; that allows the tips to be removed and reused without damage, if you ever want to replace the braided cord, say if it becomes worn or you decide you prefer a different color of cord.
