Vintage Jellyfish Earrings Tutorial
Created by: Mollie Valente
These vintage-looking "jellyfish" earrings are fast and easy to make!
Designer Tips
Cut slices in a piece of styrofoam, the right size to gently place the leverback settings, so the earrings will have someplace to dry flat.
Clean the rivoli crystals and leverback settings with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry.
On a scrap piece of posterboard or chipboard, mix a small batch of your favorite two-part epoxy, following the package directions.
Use a toothpick to lightly coat the inside of one setting. Avoid getting glue too close to the edges, or you'll have a mess.
Place the crystal into the setting. If you added too much glue, carefully clean off the excess.
Set into the styrofoam (or anyplace the earring can dry flat).

Repeat for other earring. Allow to dry completely.
When the earrings are dry, carefully open the loop on a tassel, and attach to the bottom of an earring. Securely close the loop. For tips on opening and closing loops, see Jump Ring Hint in Jewelry Basics 101 (PDF)
