Tropical Sunset Charm Bracelet Tutorial
Created by: Sondra Barrington
Select your favorite beach color palette for your bracelet. This charm bracelet features crystals, pearls and gemstones in shimmering crystal AB and the soft lavender hues found in a tropical sunset. All beads are hung from ball-end headpins for extra movement and sparkle. If you are using freshwater pearls (instead of Swarovski pearls) invest in a pearl reaming tool (to increase the hole size). Freshwater pearls have notoriously small holes.
Pick an ocean-themed Swarovski crystal pendant (or two!) Choose from crystal sea stars (starfish), radiolarians, seashells, urchins & more. As this focal piece is heavier than the other charms, double the jump rings attaching it to the bracelet for added security.
One or more parts (or tools) used in this project are no longer available, so we've moved the whole project into the "Misc Jewelry Tutorials with Issues" area while we decide what we want to do about it: find a good sub, re-make this project, or retire the tutorial.
This bracelet features a single crystal pendant hung on a tiny bail near the clasp. Select your favorite assortment of ocean-themed charms from mermaids, anchors, dolphins, octopus, fish, whales, & more!
The Chain St? ("Chain Stay") tool is essential for charm bracelet layout. You can easily attach all charms on one side of the chain, allowing you to lay the finished bracelet flat for nice photos.
The 4-piece Glitter Tool set is a proven winner. I’ve had my set for several years! It is a great entry-level tool set that goes the distance.
