14 Gauge Jewelry Wire is often used to create components such as clasps, rings, cuff bracelets and bangle bracelets. It can also be used to create frames for resin and mixed media projects, as well as structural support for many styles of jewelry. Solid 14ga wire can be used to make rivets.

Tips for Using Sterling Silver Wire, Gold-Filled Wire, and Precious Metal Sheet
To keep track of your different materials of wire and sheet, mark each material with a different color of permanent marker. (Sharpies work great.)
Any writing on wire or sheet is easily removed with acetone or fingernail polish remover.
To prevent pliers from marring delicate, expensive materials such as sterling silver wire, fine silver wire, and gold-filled wire: wrap a bit of tape around serrated pliers so the serrations don't scrape or mar your wire. Nylon jaw pliers are also very convenient to use, and Tool Magic anti-scratch coating is a staff favorite!
With all wire gauges: the larger the gauge, the smaller (thinner) the wire diameter.

Sterling Silver Wire, Half Round, 14ga, Dead-Soft

Avg Rating: 0 /10
14-gauge half-round sterling silver wire for jewelry. This wire is dead soft (not tempered), so it's easy to manipulate. There are approximately 8.84 feet per troy ounce (ozt) of 14-gauge sterling silver half-round wire. We normally pre-cut our wire to 1-ozt lengths (+/- 20%), so please let us know if you need wire in one piece longer than an ozt (troy ounce). Number of feet per ozt is approximate; your invoice will reflect actual charges for exact weight of wire shipped.
