Sterling Silver Charms, Filigrees, Links and Connectors
Sterling silver charms, pendants, links, blanks and connectors from Rings & Things include geometric charms, gemstone charms, unicorns, flowers, food charms, and faith/inspirational charms, as well as flat sterling silver stamping blanks to create your own custom charms.
What's the difference between a charm and a pendant? Not much... generally a charm is smaller than a pendant, and pendants often have a bail-style loop (which can be slipped directly onto a chain or cord). You can easily add a pretty bail to a charm to turn it into a classic pendant.
Links and connectors vary from simple wire rings and heart shapes, to 2-loop bumblebee charm connectors, intricate filigrees, abstract multi-holed connectors, honeycombs, and more.
Solid sterling silver blanks will take your metal stamping projects to the high end of jewelry design. They can be domed (dapped), punched with extra holes, riveted, textured, oxidized or polished.
Metal Charm Blanks: Choose from dozens of silver shapes, including geometrics, hearts, flowers, washers (rings), and ovals. Most styles provide one or more ready-made holes or loops for easy hanging. Other components come without holes for maximum design flexibility. Use as-is or add holes wherever you want them. You can polish these sterling silver supplies to be bright and shiny, or oxidize them for an antique look.
24-gauge components (0.5mm thick) work great for metal stamping, embossing, soldering, riveting, and engraving.
18-gauge (1mm thick) sterling components are excellent for engraving, but are a bit tough to stamp. (Before stamping 18-gauge sterling, practice on 18-gauge copper or 20-gauge nickel silver. Tip: For heavy gauge metal, it's easier to make a good impression with small stamps, than with large stamps.)
