Square, Cube, Diamond and Rectangular Gemstone Beads for jewelry making:
Square gemstone beads include flat or puffed beads with four straight sides of equal length, and right angles. For comfort, the edges of square beads are usually slightly rounded.
Diamond shaped beads are exactly the same, except drilled point-to-point, or through one tip, rather than through a straight edge.
Cube beads have 6 identical faces. Sometimes we also have "cornerless" or faceted cube beads, which are a cross between a cube and a faceted round bead. This shape is also called a die (singular), or dice (plural).
Rectangle beads include flat or puffed beads with adjacent sides of unequal length, parallel sides of equal length and all right angles. An elongated square. This shape is also known as a brick, or sometimes even a "couch cushion". Occasionally we also have rectangular tube beads.
