Santorini Bermuda Blue and Silver Hoop Earring Tutorial
This project uses Swarovski crystals. Created by: Tiffany White
Designer Tips
Cut two 6" pieces of 18-gauge silver plated wire.
Use a ring mandrel to shape the hoops. You can make them small or large. I made mine at a 7.5 ring size.
For each hoop, center the wire over the mandrel and wrap the wire around each side. Use chain-nose pliers to pinch the wires tight together.
After pinching the two wires together, wrap one wire around the other wire four times, with the wire still on the ring mandrel. Keeping the hoop on the mandrel makes it easier to wrap without losing the shape.
After wrapping the wire, clip the excess, and use chain-nose pliers to pinch the wire flush.
Clip the other wire about 1/2 an inch up and use round-nose pliers to make a loop.
To ensure each hoop is nice and round, Place each hoop back on the ring mandrel and pull it down as much as you can.

One or more parts (or tools) used in this project are no longer available, so we've moved the whole project into the "Misc Jewelry Tutorials with Issues" area while we decide what we want to do about it: find a good sub, re-make this project, or retire the tutorial.
For each pendant, cut a 6" piece of 20-gauge wire and center the crystal pendant on the wire.
Use chain-nose pliers to pinch the two sides of the wire flush at the top of the crystal.
Wrap one piece of wire around the other 3 times. Clip the wire and tuck it with chain-nose pliers.
Make a loop with the other side of the wire using round-nose pliers.
Before wrapping the other piece of wire, attach each pendant to the hoop you made.
After you attach the pendants to the hoops, wrap the wire around the first coils you made. Clip the wire in the back and tuck it with your chain nose pliers.
