Regeneration Drop Earrings Tutorial
Created by: Rita Hutchinson
Apply a dab of Loctite gel to Pear Setting and place pear stone inside. Place on a level surface to dry (if you can find a Styrofoam remnant, press the setting in before gluing the crystal, to create a divot in the styrofoam.)
The filigree beadcaps are designed for a round bead. You can adjust them to work with this larger, flatter bead by gently pressing from the top of the beadcap against a flat surface to slightly splay the petals of the filigree. This makes the cap become shaped more like a flower cup than a cone.
Identify the "top" of the #5045 rondelle bead. (The Scarabaeus color is applied to one side of the bead.) String the bead cap and rondelle on your eyepin and trim pin to approximately 8mm. Create the second loop perpendicular to the first loop. This allows the drop to hang correctly from the earwire without added jump rings.
