To use, first clean the metal to remove any oils or oxidation, then use a cotton swab to apply the full-strength patina. Use a polishing cloth, polishing paper, or 0000 steel wool to lightene the high points of your metal. Renaissance Wax (listed with the Cleaners and Polishers products) can be used to seal the patina.

          Worked beautifullly

          By amanda t on 1/24/2018

I've been noticing a trend of seeing brass jewelry shapes and black shapes in a single piece of jewelry. I am not positive how the results were achieved in the photos I've seen, but I decided to use the black patina to color a whole piece of brass as dark as possible. It turned dark quickly and within a couple minutes was a beautiful black. I will have to experiment with Renaissance Wax to make sure that it doesn't scratch or chip, but so far, so good.

Didn't work on the earrings as desired. Grayed the silver, but when I polished it didn't leave black in the indents and the top silver. Just looks dull. Will take to a jeweler. Not your problem. Product recommended by a bead shop person.

Love this product! I first saw it on a blog that I follow. It was being used to age shiny metals. It works like a charm! Just dip your item and wipe clean. Instant aging for a "vintage" look!
