Bulk jump rings are essential connectors for jewelry making. Use jump rings to connect a charm to an ear wire, or a clasp to chain, and so much more! Plated jump rings are available in many colors, to match specialty jewelry finishes:
Silver plate is a thin layer of actual silver, so it nicely matches the color of sterling silver. One downside to silver plate, is that -- like sterling silver -- it can tarnish (especially when exposed to sulfur or damp acidic conditions).
White plated jump rings and findings are a slightly duller gray, but are tarnish-resistant. White plate is sometimes a rhodium plate, or an imitation rhodium plate.
Antique pewter is a darker gray finish that goes well with pewter charms.
Yellow plate goes well with Gold plate, but is slightly brassier.
Gunmetal (black) plating may range from gun blue to matte dark gray to shiny black metal.
