Peace Symbols from Rings & Things include the classic 60's peace sign, as well as peace doves, olive branches, and beads and findings that feature the word "peace". Here you'll also find peace sign metal stamps (including a few letter sets that feature a peace sign as part of their mix).
Did you know that the peace sign was designed in 1958 by British artist Gerald Holtom, for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament? The peace sign is a combination of the semaphore (flag) symbols for "N" /|\ and "D" | (standing for Nuclear Disarmament). Soon afterwards, the John Birch Society famously called it "The Footprint of the American Chicken".
Are you familiar with World Peace Day? World Peace Day is celebrated annually on September 21 (and we wish it was celebrated EVERY day).
