EURO TOOL® 3-piece combination bench block set. Includes one 4x1" circular rubber base, one 3x0.7" steel insert and one 3x0.7" nylon insert. EURO TOOL is known for producing innovative & quality jewelry making supplies. A great multi-surface anvil set: The rubber surface can be used for soft shaping; the nylon for firmer forming and flattening; and the steel surface for when you really need to move the metal for texturing, planishing or forging small pieces of metal. The rubber base under the steel block helps deaden sound when stamping and hammering.
I love this for metal stamping, because the metal block gives me the hard surface I need, and the rubber under it helps prevent the metal block from marring the tabletop that I'm working on, and softens the sound a bit. I rarely use the nylon block but I'm sure I will someday! (Disclaimer: I work at Rings & Things so this is a review made by an employee, but I also make jewelry and use this block frequently.)
