This necklace is reminiscent of a rosary, but without the significant bead pattern of a true rosary. The iridescent green cross changes color from every angle!
Designer Tips
24-gauge Artistic Wire is soft and easy to work with. (It was also the thickest wire that would fit through the tourmaline beads).
Wire-wrap all components directly together (no jump rings needed).
Create wire-wrapped links alternating the colors of tourmaline, and using heishi beads and a 3mm crystal bicone on every other link. For step-by-step instructions on making wire-wrapped loops, see Jewelry Basics 101 (PDF)
For the last link, at the clasp, just use a heishi and 2 crystal beads. (Skinny links at the end make it easier to open and close toggle clasps.)
