Hippy Cuff Bracelet Tutorial
Created by: Rita Hutchinson
Punch the first hole in the cuff. The 3/32" hole is a bit snug but looks better; the 1/8" hole is a tiny bit over 3mm. Measure off remaining holes (approx. 5mm apart), and mark with a pencil. Punch all holes and scrub the cuff with soap and water before painting.
Apply Vintaj® Patina™ in layers. Overlap and dry brush as desired. Apply alcohol ink with a brush for subtle background markings, and with a pen for strong design elements.
Allow alcohol ink to dry and then spray with fixative to prevent bleeding when the glaze is brushed on.
Brush on glaze when fixative is dry.
Trim the ends of the leather lace at an angle for ease in wrapping through the holes. Start on one side, and work from both directions to prevent the leather from excessive fraying when drawn through holes.
One or more parts (or tools) used in this project are no longer available, so we've moved the whole project into the "Misc Jewelry Tutorials with Issues" area while we decide what we want to do about it: find a good sub, re-make this project, or retire the tutorial.
