Girl with the Green Pearl Earring - Tutorial
This DIY earring project may or may not have anything to do with Vermeer's painting of the same name. Other than a teardrop shape, and a green pearl. And, well, earrings.
Created by: Janet Boyington
Cut a length (approx. 4") of Artistic Wire.
Make a wrapped wire loop, and before closing it, attach the TierraCast pear charm. For step-by-step instructions on making simple or wrapped loops, see Jewelry Basics 101 (PDF).
String onto the wire: one 3mm heishi, one 10mm Eden Green pearl, one Tiffany bead cap, one 6mm crystal bead, one 3mm heishi, one 3mm Aurum bicone.
Wire-wrap end of wire.
Add to 14kt Gold-Filled ear wire.
Repeat for other earring.
One or more parts (or tools) used in this project are no longer available, so we've moved the whole project into the "Misc Jewelry Tutorials with Issues" area while we decide what we want to do about it: find a good sub, re-make this project, or retire the tutorial.
