Trade beads are old and/or used beads, and will show varying amounts of wear. Newly-made African beads are generally handmade in small communities. Large nickel silver Ethiopian Coptic processional stand cross. This style of cross has been used by Christian Ethiopians for over 1600 years. They are mounted on staffs and carried during processionals or displayed on altars. Handmade. Approx. 10-1/2" tall by 5-1/2" wide.
