Use cup burs to eliminate sharp wire ends in jewelry making. This is especially important for ear wires and earring posts, but can be important for any ends in wire wrapping, that could potentially poke or scratch.
Use crimping pliers to turn crimp beads into a nicely rounded shape.
Use nylon-jaw pliers to avoid marring delicate or highly polished surfaces.
Nippers are for cutting beading wire (stringing cable) such as tigertail, Soft Flex and Beadalon.
Side cutters are for cutting jewelry wire (sterling, copper, brass and thin gauges of nickel silver).
Round-nose pliers help you make nice round loops.
Chain-nose pliers help you get a good grip without denting wire such as jump rings, chain links, and eye pins.
Knotting tweezers help you create tight knots right where you want them.
Split-ring tweezers help open tiny split rings, so you can get them onto clasps and other findings.
