21mm genuine India pices, 0.9-1.1mm thick. 1940s-era worn copper coins with green and white patina. "1 Pice India" and year on front; leaf pattern on back. The pice was the smallest unit of currency in India during British rule (192 pices equaled one rupee). It was eliminated in 1957 when Indian currency converted to a modern decimal system. †Not Always Available.
These coins have a good size and big hole, making them very useful in jewellery. While other coins normally have smaller holes, this coin is more like a ring than a round disc. I also like the pattern on the back. How much it shows, though, differs between coins as some show more wear than others.
