Double the end of your cord. (Optional: Add a dab of glue.)
Twist the cord slightly as you push it all the way into the coil end. Since cord width varies, so does the ease of this step.
Crimp down the last half coil, securing the coil end (using a pair of flat-nose jewelry pliers).

Silver Plated Coil End, 3x8mm (1.7mm I.D.)

3x8mm silver plated small coil end findings with loop. 1.7mm inner diameter. Durable steel. Silver plate is a thin surface layer of actual silver. Finish the ends of round cording, such as leather or waxed cotton. Insert doubled cord into coil and then use pliers to flatten the wire furthest from the loop.
I've used these coil ends for a few years now and there is no better way to finish off the end of cords for necklaces. They are easy to use and give a polished professional look to waxed cotton cord necklaces.
