Approximately 10.5mm button shank, 2.5-3mm loop on back. Used for gluing to the backs of handmade buttons. Smooth plastic edges won't cut fabrics or threads like some sharp metal button shanks. Non-rusting, so it's OK to wash these, although we do recommend hand-washing any garments with handcrafted buttons.
I'm a button maker and have struggled with finding shanks that are good quality and good for sewing onto garments and accessories. I've tried several and keep coming back to these. Metal may seem more "classy" but they cut thread and the shanks are too sm

I've used these for a while. I also tried the metal ones from the 'other' jewelry supplier because I thought they might look classier. Big mistake; sharp edges and the holes were too small. Back to these plastic gems because they work so well. My only wis
