Bronze jewelry wire provides a warm color similar to that of copper, but with more stiffness for creating sturdier components with less (or no) need for work hardening.
- Our bronze wire is alloyed from 92% copper and 8% tin. It can be oxidized for an antiqued look, or left bright and shiny. Choose from 18 gauge, 20 gauge, and 22 gauge round wire. Bronze wire (but not phosphor bronze) works great with BRONZclay metal clay. Because of its hardness, we recommend cutting bronze wire with heavy duty wire cutters.
- Our cadmium-free bronze wire solder is bronze with 30% silver, and has a melt temperature of 1250°F, and a flow temperature of 1410°F. Use with hard-soldering supplies (a torch, not a soldering iron).
