Beadpunk Earrings Tutorial
Created by: Amy Mickelson
Designer Tips
Inspired by Cindy Pankopf's "Triple Time" project in the June 2009 issue of Bead & Button magazine, the designer created woven cogs using a square stitch.
The designer uses Pankopf's instructions with the following exceptions: To create a steampunk look, the designer inserted a metal cog bead in the center of each woven ring. 6x4mm tip-drilled teardrop beads replace the 3mm fringe beads.
Use adhesive to secure the metal cog bead to inner seed bead ring.
Design variation: For an asymmetric look, attach one ear wire to the seed bead cog, and one to idea-ology cog.
