Our green jade pendants are carved from a type of serpentine. Semiprecious serpentine gemstones are translucent, waxy silicates of magnesium which often come in shades of green and have historically been confused with types of jade. Serpentine, however, is softer and less dense than most real jade. Serpentine is said to restore self-confidence, dispel fear, and enhance meditation. Rhodonite is an opaque, deep-rosy-pink-to-lavender gemstone with characteristic black veins called dendrites. Rhodonite is composed of manganese silicate.
