Bare (raw) copper tubing can be used to create your own eyelets and hinges, or made into enameled copper beads. Raw copper is also known as bare copper, or sometimes solid copper. It has no plating or artificial coating and is easy to oxidize, or can be polished to a high shine. Copper is a soft, easy-to-work-with, inexpensive metal, and is popular for wire working, and for creating rivets and layered jewelry. It has similar working properties as sterling silver, so it's also a popular "starter" metal for budding silversmiths.
