Antique-Style Choker

Parts:

 8" 40-099-13	or other Brass Round Link Chain
              (8" will make a 17" Necklace) 
19  37-721-2  7/8" Standard Eye Pin 
 1  39-326-2  6mm Spring Ring Clasp
 1  37-136-2  Med. Round Jump Ring 
12  44-462-0  10mm Flower Charm with 3 loops
19  23-444    4mm Czech Glass Firepolish Beads 
These parts are also available in "gunmetal" finish (an antique-looking black nickel plating).

Instructions:

  1. Making the beaded connectors:
    1. Make 19 beaded eye pins: String one bead on each eye pin, and make a loop with every eye pin. (See loop directions)
    2. Connect two charms using two of the beaded eye pins from the previous step. You should now have an oval, made of two beads and two charms, with one empty loop at each end. (Open an eye pin like you open jump rings.) Make six total of this step.

    3. Use five beaded eye pins to connect all six beaded charm ovals.
    4. Attach a beaded eye pin to each end.

  2. Attach the chain:
    1. Cut the chain in half.
    2. On each end of your beaded design, attach a piece of chain.
    3. Find the desired length of the necklace and trim each side of the chain evenly.
  3. Open loop on clasp to attach clasp to one end.
  4. Attach jump ring to opposite end.
