Ways to Shop Rings & Things
|
We offer 4 main venues for shopping our wide selection of beads, jewelry findings and jewelry-making supplies:
You can always call our friendly sales staff to place an order and/or have your questions answered! You can also fax or mail in an order.

Minimum Order
|
We have a $25 minimum order. You do NOT need a tax ID to shop with us. (Washington State residents who do not have a reseller permit on file with us will be charged taxes on their purchases.)

Payment Options
|
For the quickest service, we recommend MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, **PayPal™ or a Rings & Things electronic gift certificate. For domestic (US) orders, we also accept checks over the phone, or by mail. For Canadian orders, we also accept pre-payment by checks in US funds. For international orders outside Canada, we also accept pre-payment by ***wire transfer.
**Note that PayPal Terms of Service may require changes to our usual policies and methods. We will inform you if this affects your order.
***For more information about wire transfers, email our orders department. Wire transfers cannot be completed online via our website. You have to initiate a wire transfer at your bank. Rates may vary from bank to bank, and country to country.
You can also apply for a Net-30 Open Account (PDF), a.k.a. Credit App:
- Be sure to print and mail both pages of the PDF form to us.
- Since we contact your references, it may take 2-4 weeks after we receive your application before we can give you an answer.
- Interest of 1.0% per month is charged on any unpaid balance after 30 days.

Paying with PayPal™
|
PayPal typically speeds up your checkout process since it bypasses parts of normal checkout. However, it can occasionally cause confusion or delays:
Logging in: Log into your online-store account before checking out via PayPal. Otherwise:
- Your saved checkout preferences may be over-written by new defaults.
- Your ordering history may be split between multiple online-store accounts.
- WA State businesses, you may be charged tax despite having a reseller permit on file with us.
Address mis-matches: When the email address, billing address or shipping address that PayPal has on file for you, is different than the information we have on file for you, it may cause payment or processing delays. To avoid delays, update your PayPal data before you complete Rings & Things checkout:
- Log into your PayPal account.
- Go to the "Profile" link under the blue tabs. It will open a list of options.
- Choose "Add or Edit Street Address." From there you will be able to add a different shipping address.
Back orders via PayPal: If any items in your current order are out of stock and you would like to back order them, see back orders, and do not click "Cancel out-of-stock items" during checkout.
Incomplete transactions: Occasionally, PayPal shows an authorization, but the transaction can't be completed. This happens because PayPal authorizes funds for each purchase, but doesn't send the funds to each merchant until your order(s) are finalized and shipped. Occasionally, PayPal's system allows you to authorize more than your available funds, delaying your order even if PayPal displays that funds are authorized (but not actually paid).
Multiple accounts: If you are registered in Rings & Things' online store with one email address, and you pay via PayPal with a different email address, PayPal sets up an extra account for you in our online store. This can lead to you having more than one login (registration) in our online store.

Security
|
We follow the highest Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store or transmit bankcard information maintain a secure environment. We also use Trustwave, a globally-trusted internet security and compliance brand that routinely scans and probes our website and online store for vulnerabilities.

Returns
|
To receive full credit, refund or exchange value for returned merchandise, your return must meet the following criteria:
- Merchandise must be returned within 30 days of when you received it.
- Merchandise must be in its original condition (i.e. unopened, unused, undamaged).
- Clearance and Limited Stock items are not returnable, unless they are defective upon receipt. If a Clearance or Limited Stock item is defective, it must be returned within 15 days of receipt for refund or exchange.
- Original invoice prices will be recalculated if a return causes the original quantity price breaks or discounts to no longer apply.
- Merchandise will be credited at the original purchase price in one of the following ways:
- Credit to your Rings & Things account for future purchases.
- Credit towards an enclosed order (please include shipping in your calculations).
- Refund via the original payment method.
If the above criteria apply, simply ship returned merchandise and a copy of the original invoice to: Customer Service, Rings & Things, 304 E 2nd Ave, Spokane, WA 99202.
If you wish to return merchandise that is more than 30 days old or is defective, shorted, opened, or damaged due to shipping, please call us toll free at 1 (800) 864-8861 for authorization. Also, please call if you have further questions.
During holiday closures, no staff are available to process returns. Our longest closure takes place over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Any returns not processed by December 23 or 24 (depending on the year) will not be processed until our normal work schedule resumes, either January 2 or 3. Customer Account & Login
|
Your customer account is a unique number we generate the first time you order from us. Our system processes all orders using customer account numbers. You can usually find your customer account number listed on your print catalog or a previous invoice. If you have previously ordered from our online store, you can also find your customer account number online:
- Log in to our online store.
- Click "Modify Personal Information".
- Scroll down to "Rings&Things customer account#", and your number should be auto-filled in the box.
- If you first ordered from our online store less than 1 full weekday ago, your customer number will not show up.
Your online-store login is not your customer account number. An online store login (registration) is a username and password you create during online-store checkout.

Order Processing & Troubleshooting
|
A person reads your order before we charge you and ship it. We pay attention to comments included in orders. When you submit an online order, our store sends you an auto-confirmation, and sends us the order. If questions arise during processing, we attempt to email or call you before shipping the order. You will receive an emailed invoice when we bill and ship your order. Most orders leave our warehouse the same day they were placed!

Prices
|
We provide quantity (volume) price breaks for most of the products in our catalog and online store. Ask about price breaks for 10, 25, or 50 gross of most findings; masses or kilos of beads; and full boxes of Austrian crystal. With some items, larger quantities may need to be special ordered.
Discrepancies between prices listed in print materials and the online store often reflect fluctuations in world markets (for example metals, oil, labor and currency). Our online store shows the most up-to-date prices.

Factory Packs
|
A factory pack is a package we sell just as we received it from the manufacturer. The time we save by not opening, inspecting or re-packaging contents translates to better prices for you. The number of beads in a factory pack depends on the size of the bead. Our factory pack prices are extremely competitive!
Orders between factory-pack quantities will be rounded up. Example: if 1 factory pack contains 120 dozen beads & you order 200 dozen beads, we will round up your order to 240 dozen beads (two factory packs).
No returns are accepted on opened or partial factory packs.

Pre-Orders & Back Orders
|
A pre-order allows you to reserve brand new stock before it arrives at our warehouse. A back order allows you to order something that is not new, but is currently out of stock. Pre-ordered and back-ordered items are handled the same way.
During checkout, you have the option to cancel out-of-stock items or have them shipped to you once they're in stock. Note that:
- In-stock items are shipped immediately.
- Out-of-stock items are canceled unless you request a back order at the time of purchase.
- Out-of-stock items must total $25+ (back orders under $25 are canceled).
- Customers are responsible for shipping costs on back orders.
- If your original order was paid via PayPal, a PayPal money request will be sent to you when your items are in stock.
If an item is out of stock (or back out of stock after you were notified that it was available), we recommend that you include it in your next order as soon as possible. Make sure that during checkout you select to back order out-of-stock items. If you need large quantities of an out-of-stock item, you can inquire about special ordering the item.
Items labeled "Limited Stock" or "Clearance" are unlikely to be restocked.

Sales Tax & Resale Tax ID's
|
You do not need a reseller permit (tax number / resale tax ID) to order from us.
Shipments to Washington State addresses will be charged sales tax unless you have a Washington State reseller permit on file with us (per WA State law). Send us a copy to become exempt from paying tax on items you buy for resale.
If your business is outside Washington State, but you're picking up an order in Washington State – or having your order shipped to a WA State address – you can complete a Uniform Sales & Use Tax Certificate — Multijurisdiction Form.
