World Markets and Our Prices

A major reason is the fluctuation of world markets. These fluctuations affect the prices of precious-metal wire, sheet, platings, findings and beads—even the cost of plastic goes up and down with changes in the oil market. Sometimes these fluctuations are gradual. At other times, they are sudden and dramatic.

Our online store typically reflects our most up-to-date prices. As markets fluctuate, we adjust selling prices to reflect our new costs. If we haven't purchased a particular item in a while, its increased cost during a rising market can be a rude shock! We wish we didn't have to alter prices to reflect cost changes (truly—these changes use up employee hours). But, these alterations are beyond our control.
