Tools and supplies: cutters, chain-nose pliers, round-nose pliers, coarse sandpaper or metal file

No time to wait for glue to dry? Use adhesive dots to make a pin in a flash.

TIP: Sand the back of the yin yang bead with a file or coarse sandpaper to slightly flatten the back and create a better surface for the adhesive dot to grip.

Love Rice Writing Pendant

1 #56-999-01-042 26x20x8mm diamond-shaped glass perfume bottle charm, clear

Tools and supplies: awl (#65-801), jasmine rice, baby oil, fine tip syringe, fine-tip waterproof pen such as a Pigma� Micron� 005

TIPS:
Use a fine-tip, waterproof and fade-proof pen from an art supply store. 0.005 (0.20mm) is a good line width for the pen.

Press the rice into a piece of uncured polymer clay to hold the rice steady while you write.

Use a fine-tip syringe (such as the applicator tip from Bead Fix� adhesive (#60-243) to fill the perfume bottle.

Use an awl to help tighten the lid.

Glueable gems (available at local craft stores)
Copyright-free image (cut to size, on high quality paper)

Tools: flat-nose pliers, scissors, stiff bristle paint brush, adhesive such as , dimensional glaze (such as JudiKins� Diamond Glaze�)

NOTE: For this project, the designer created customer jump rings using a pin vise (#69-040), and jump-ring maker (#69-200). 10mm jump rings (#37-178-2) will work too.

This bookmark is easy to make, and is a breath of dank air in the world of cutesy bookmarks. (And of course, it's a great gift for fans of the author Mary Shelley, and her famous novel, Frankenstein.)
