"I first saw the glass lady-face beads at a Rings & Things show. After six months of thinking about them, I was overjoyed to find them at the next Rings & Things show!
"Thoughts of Madame Butterfly inspired me to create this [set]. I envisioned a lady watching this beautiful opera and dreaming of Asian ribbons, fans, and flowing silk; a lady living in modern times but captivated by the elegance and drama of a time gone by ... Sculpting the wires around this beautiful bead took a few attempts and a lot of architectural thought, but it was worth the effort! No solder or glue was used, just a few hand tools, wire, beads, imagination, patience, and skilled hands. The sculpting wires embellish the bead, but they also stabilize it and prevent it from spinning or shifting on the bracelet. Hard wire lends the rigidity needed to prevent the design from being crushed or dented.

Kristie-Lou used 21-gauge square sterling silver wire to sculpt the bracelet and pendant. Black onyx rondelles, Czech glass wheels (now discontinued) and firepolish rounds complement the focal bead.
