Ladies Man - Tie Tacks
|
A free tie tack project featuring personalized images set in round bezel cups and covered with EasyCast epoxy resin from Rings & Things.

Suggested Materials:
2 #38-748-2 8mm tie tacks with 4mm pad, yellow (not shown)
2 #38-878-4 Pinch type clutches for tie tack, gold plate (not shown)
1 #46-302-09-0 18mm round bezel cup, raw brass
1 #46-302-07-0 12mm round bezel cup, raw brass
1 #82-500-08 8oz EasyCast epoxy resin kit
2 Copyright free images (cut to size)
Tools and supplies:
scissors
EcoGlue™ adhesive (#60-288) or Mod Podge®
paintbrush
resin mixing set (#82-599)
E-6000® adhesive (#60-265)
TIPS:
* Use the bezel cups as a template to trace around the selected images.
* Seal the front and back of the images with EcoGlue or Mod Podge to prevent the images from bleeding.
* To prevent the images from floating, glue them to the bottom of the bezel cups. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly prior to adding the resin.
* Once the resin has cured, secure tie tacks to the back with adhesive.
