18 ft #61-741-02 2mm size #1 standard-weight Rattail™, black
(cut into three 6 ft pieces)
Scandinavian myths, folklore and music inspire this piece.
Tools and supplies: flat-nose pliers, scissors, antiquing solution such as Win-Ox™ (#86-343)
TIPS:
* The charm and bails are antiqued using Win-Ox, giving a dark contrast to the sterling blank.
* For a 3-strand braid, cut approximately three times the length of cord as the finished length. Cut three 72" pieces of cord. The finished length of this necklace is 24".
* When braiding, remember to firmly secure the end of cords. Use even, regular crossover to ensure a consistent braid.
