Cleopatra would have loved this ornate collar necklace. Finished with an easy-use toggle clasp, this piece is appropriate for all of us (work-a-day) 21st-century queens too! Dripping with gemstone colors and sparkle, it'll make any wearer feel like royalty.
To make the Cleopatra necklace, string the top section on stringing cable using the Beading Cable Technique Sheet.
See tip #4 on this tip sheet: it would be useful to finish one end, then hold the other end temporarily closed with a Bead Stopper, while adding the beaded head & eye pins. This avoids stringing the necklace too tight or loose.
Next, make the dangles using Beaded head and eye pin techniques. The design was made with the simple beaded head and eye pins (top of top sheet), but wire-wrapped loops (at the bottom of the tip sheet) are more secure.
