Envy of Egypt - Linked Necklace

1 spool #47-040 18-gauge (1mm) round wire, gold plate
40 #23-264-522 Size 5 "E" beads, cobalt
10 #40-080-03-4 1" mesh-style chain links, gold plate
10 #40-080-01-4 2.5" mesh-style chain links, gold plate
10 #40-080-04-4 1" snakeskin-style chain links, gold plate
10 #40-080-02-4 2" popcorn-style chain links, gold plate
Tools: large jump ring maker (#69-200), cutters, chain-nose pliers, adhesive (such as Super New Glue #60-270)
To make this design:
1. Using a jump ring maker, 16mm mandrel and 18-gauge wire, make forty 16mm jump rings.
2. Open all the jump rings, using chain-nose pliers.
3. Add one e-bead to each jump ring, and set aside.
4. Add two mesh links to one jump ring. The necklace pictured alternates the four styles of links.
5. Close the jump ring, and carefully add adhesive to hole in e-bead, and slide over opening/slit of jump ring. Hold for a minute or two so adhesive can set up. Super New Glue sets up fairly quickly.
6. Repeat steps 4-6 until all the links are used and the necklace is connected with the jump rings.
Tip: 16 or 18 gauge wire will fit most holes in "E" beads.
