Agate and Trade Bead Necklace

Created by: Polly Nobbs-LaRue

21-884-052 4mm round gemstone beads, natural agate
21-886-052 6mm round gemstone beads, natural agate
22-707-Yell-40 12-14mm bicone "vaseline" trade beads, yellow
39-110 3-Strand fold-over clasp (white plate shown; yellow plate also available)
61-723-49-87 49-strand 0.018" Beadalon(R) stringing cable, bright steel
41-258 Size 2 crimp beads (choose base-metal plating that matches clasp choice)
OR
41-652 Size 1 crimp tubes, 1/20 14kt gold fill (precious-metal option)

Notes: Although this clasp has 3 holes (so is technically for 3-strand necklaces and bracelets), it also works well for 2 strands. Loop one strand of Beadalon through holes 1 and 2 of the clasp, and loop the other strand of Beadalon through holes 2 and 3 of the clasp. This spaces them very nicely, and it is also quite secure.

Natural agate is just one of our many beautiful gemstones. Browse through our Gemstone Beads Index for more information about our ever-growing line of gemstones!

You can go back to view more simple necklace designs. Or, if you have questions about how this was made, ways to display it, how many could be made or for what cost, then post your question(s) in the Rings & Things Discussion Forum. Don't be shy! If you're wondering, so is someone else!
