Days Gone By - Necklace

A free necklace project featuring EasyCast Epoxy resin and Amate Studios™ Designer's Collection™ bezel from Rings & Things.

Suggested Materials:
1 each #46-811-432-3 Bezel, Round, 1 Loop, 43mm (Silver Plated)
1 each #44-473-1 Charm, Heart, Floating, 9x11mm (White)
1 each #20-002-3227 Seed Bead Cocktails™ from TOHO (Wonderful)
1 each #61-043-16-12 Pendant Cord, Cloth, 16-18", 3mm (Medium Brown)
1 each #82-500-08 8oz EasyCast Epoxy Kit
1 each Copyright-free image or family photo (cut to size)

Tools and Supplies:
#82-597 Mixing Cup, 1oz
#82-595 Stir Stick
#60-250 Adhesive, GS Hypo Cement

Available at your local craft store:
Mod Podge®
Cheap Paint Brush
Scissors or circle-shape craft punch

Designer Tips:
  • Cut your image to size with scissors, craft punch or circle template (#69-265-01).
  • Use Mod Podge to seal the image on both sides to prevent the image from bleeding.
  • Using small beads or chain on the inside edge of the bezel will help hide imperfect edges on your image.
  • To prevent them from floating, use Hypo cement to attach the heart and beads to the image before adding the resin.
  • Use a pen or knitting needle to stretch the loop on the pendant cord if needed.
  • The Brilliant! polishing cloth (#63-537) will do a great job of removing fingerprints from the shiny silver plated bezel.
