Open Sesame - Pendant

A free pendant design project featuring a glass bezel filled with brass charms and UV resin, from Rings & Things.

As seen in the Rings & Things Wholesale Catalog 2011-12
Created by: Rita Hutchinson

Suggested Materials:
1 #83-511-06-042 25mm square glass bezel, clear
1 #44-454-1 12x8mm brass heart lock charm, white
1 #44-455-1 17x7mm brass key charms
1 #41-792-01-3 8x6.5mm tube-top bail for gluing, silver plate
1 #82-501-01 Magic Glos™ UV resin

Tools and supplies:
sesame seeds
scrapbook paper (from craft supplier)
clear packing tape
scissors
UV light (#82-593)

TIPS:
* Cut the paper to fit the overall dimensions of the glass bezel. Use clear packing tape to seal the front and back of the paper.

* Pour and cure the resin in several layers. Add the first layer of resin into the bezel and add the charms. Cure according to the instructions under a UV light. Once cured, add another layer of resin and the sesame seeds. Cure again.

* Add a thin layer of resin to the paper and adhere to pendant. Turn over so the UV light passes through the glass and cure again.

* Attach bail once resin has cured.
