Spirit of the Wolf

Artist: Kelli Spandl (Tonasket, WA)
Honorable Mention, Nature

This necklace represents the wild spirit of the wolf, and it exudes a decidely Western feel through Kelli’s use of turquoise beads and sterling silver feather charms. The addition of jet Swarovski® crystal beads helps integrate the centerpiece pendant, created by Kelli and her partner Gary using a unique, proprietary, five-step method. The pendant pictures a wolf named Tunyan, who lives at the W.O.L.F. Sanctuary located in Colorado. Through their White Wolf Gallery, Kelli and Gary annually donate hundreds-of-dollars worth of jewelry items to wildlife sanctuaries and shelters around the United States. "In return for these generous people’s efforts on behalf of our diminishing wildlife, we are able to share our generosity with them," says Kelli.
