Art Clay™ Silver

Coil Creature Pendant

Artist: Gordon K. Uyehara (Honolulu, HI)
Honorable Mention, Art Clay™ Silver

"This fun, dimensional piece was built around a form of cork clay. The rolled coil (or snake) shapes rise up the side and give the body its sandal shape. The coils meet at the center forming a spine. The 'head' has randomly spaced holes and a crown of bumps created with paste clay type applied with a small paintbrush. The creature has a shiny tumbled finish and hangs from a leather cord with spring endcaps and a pounded wire clasp." — Gordon K. Uyehara
