TIPS:
* The smaller sterling jump rings lay on top of the larger copper jump rings giving a layered look. The earring on the right side of the image shown, is how they look when worn.
* Use two pair of chain-nose pliers to open and close the jump rings. One pair holds the jump ring, while the other pair to opens and closes it.
* The "Flower Cross & Polyhedron" earring designs in The Bead Book, a South African beading magazine inspired these earrings. This chain maille pattern is sometimes referred to as a Japanese cross.
* Chain Making Techniques (#62-909 ) by Anne E. Mitchell is a good comprehensive resource book for everything you need to recognize and follow chain maille patterns and create custom chains.
* Touch up rings with a polishing cloth before attaching ear wires.
