Sea Maiden - Resin Belt Buckle

As seen in the Rings & Things 2010 Spring Supplement
Created by: Toni Plastino

1 #30-682-03-AB 85mm oval belt buckle blank with rope border, antiqued brass plate
10" #40-983 3.2mm ball chain, brass
2 #44-461-0 19x16mm stamped double-leaf charms, raw brass
8 #20-624 3.5mm freshwater "rice crispie" pearls, white
1 Copyright-free image, cut to size
1 #82-500-08 8oz kit EasyCast epoxy

Tools and supplies: scissors, cutters, resin mixing set (#82-599), EcoGlue™ adhesive (#60-288), shell pieces

TIPS:

* To prevent the image from bleeding, seal the front and back with EcoGlue and let dry. Once dry glue the image into buckle blank.

*Glue on embellishments such as charms, shells, pearls, and ball chain. When dry, add resin to the buckle.

*Consider brushing on the resin, since the buckle is convex, and has a shallow bezel cup.
