Black Banded Agate - Necklace

As seen in the Rings & Things 2011 & 2010 Spring Supplements
Created by: Amy Scalise

1 str. #21-005-219-37 Irregular faceted slab gemstone beads with skin,
black banded agate
10 #21-906-074 6x4mm faceted gemstone rondelles, multicolor rutilated quartz,
1 ozt. #64-524 14-gauge round dead soft wire, sterling silver
1 ozt. #64-341 21-gauge half-hard square wire, sterling silver

Tools and supplies: flush cutters, round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers

TIPS:
* Create eye pins for the rondelles using ten 1" pieces of 21-gauge square wire.

* Since the gemstone slab pieces are not uniform in length, create the 14-gauge eye pins one at a time.

*Use the 14-gauge dead soft wire to create a 3-way connector link and clasp. Find helpful wire-working instructions in Get Started With Wire Jewelry (#62-559).
