Using foils with polymer clay
«

I'm researching working with polymer clay as well as PMC before I begin buying materials and I have a question about using foil sheets with the polymer. I flipped through a book at a craft store (should go back and buy it) and they were making a pendant overlaid with dichroic looking foil. I've had a really hard time finding sources that sell that kind of foil- maybe I'm not doing the right kind of search?
Any info would be most appreciated.

Hi Lkngoodmk and welcome,
We used to sell some foil sheet but no longer have a source for this item.
I did a quick search and found a discussion on the Bead and Button forum on exactly this topic.

Hope this is usefull!

Dichro looking foil - that sounds like the varigated metal leaf that is frequently available, sometimes called composition Metal LEAF
Doing a search for "variegated metal leaf"
pulled the following site - you should check it out
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/MainPages/leaf.htm
and a number of art supply sites that sell various selections of leaf and foil.

It may have been Jones Tones Foils. They have a dichroic look. You can probably find it with a google search.
