Old coin jewelry

I received some old coins from my father at this death and would like to make jewelry for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren without damaging the coins.
Someone suggested using lead caning to make a bezel (?) around the coin and jumprings to connect them. Another suggestion was photo holders, but this only allows one side to be seen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some coin dealers have pre-made coin bezels in select sizes. Bezel settings that are already built for your sizes of coins, might not be very decorative, but would be a good way to avoid damage to the coins.
I'm not having much luck finding a web site though. If you haven't already tried local coin collectors in the phone books, give those a try. Even if they don't stock the settings, I bet one of them has a catalog they can order from.

You might want to consider having them made into coin rings.
This is what they will look like.
